The House, Kenardington
The House is a 500-year-old, Grade II listed self-catering property, owned and managed by the owners of Rye's The Ship Inn. Located around eight miles from Rye itself, the House is in a small hamlet, called Kenardington, deep in the East Sussex countryside in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Rye is great for antiques, bars, pubs and restaurants, while the surrounding countryside (including some great local beaches) is perfect dog walking country.
With three double bedrooms and two bathrooms, the House comfortably sleeps six adults. Other facilities include a kitchen, with both an old classic county cottage Aga and a super whizzy modern coffee machine, a living room with an inglenook fireplace, a snug complete with a wood burning stove, a study and a games room. With the fireplaces and heaters keeping it cosy in winter, in summer there are terraces and a bbq to enjoy the outdoors.
