Polurrian Bay Hotel
Part of the excellent Luxury Family Hotels group, Polurrian Bay Hotel is located on a headland looking down over a small bay on the magnificent Lizard Peninsular (Lizard Point is the most southerly point of mainland Britain). There's no shortage of great dog walking in the area but there's also plenty to do within the hotel, including some great dining options.
Eat: Choose from the elegant fine dining in the Candle Light or take things more relaxed in Vista. Either way you can expect plenty of local ingredients, including excellent fresh Cornish fish and seafood. But there's also a modern European sensibility on display. Dogs aren't allowed in either restaurant, but you can eat with your dog in the Snug (picking from the restaurant menu), or leave the dog behind and opt for something more fancy.
Sleep: You can stay in any of the hotels rooms apart from the top floor family rooms (where the dog is not allowed to go at all). The rooms vary in size and style, but all offer a comfortable, cosy space and many offer spectacular sea views. There is a £10 charge a night for dogs, but feeding bowls and doggy blankets are provided.
Walk: You're on the coast, so naturally you'll be wanting to enjoy some of the many dog-friendly beaches in the area as well as the excellent cliff-top walking on the South West Coast Path. A section crosses the hotel grounds - turn left for Mullion Cove or right for Polurrian and Poldhu Coves.
